THE SONG

The melody, lyrics and composition. Writers, composers and publishers sit on this side. In the Netherlands BumaStemra administers copyright income from uses including online, radio/TV and live performance.

THE MASTER

The actual recorded performance. Performers and producers can have neighbouring rights when commercially released recordings are broadcast or played publicly. On-demand streams such as Spotify are handled on the master side, not collected by Sena.

THE ARTIST

Your show fee, merchandise and commercial artist deals are different income streams again. A booking fee does not replace copyright or neighbouring-rights income that may arise around music use.
