01

MASTER INCOME

The owner of the recording can receive master-side income through streaming, downloads, licensing and other uses of the recording.

02

PUBLISHING

Writers and composers can have publishing income connected to the composition. Registration and correct ownership data are crucial.

03

NEIGHBOURING RIGHTS

Performers and producers may have neighbouring-rights income when eligible recordings are broadcast or played publicly, depending on territory and use.

04

LIVE PERFORMANCE

When compositions are performed live, rights income can exist separately from the artist’s performance fee. Correct setlist/reporting processes matter.

05

BOOKING FEES

Your booking fee is payment for performing. Agency commissions, production costs and other deal terms can sit around that fee.

06

SYNC & LICENSING

Film, television, advertising, games and branded content can require licenses on both the composition and master side.
